President Buhari receives the Electoral Bill 2021 from the National Assembly
The Electoral Bill 2021, which was recently passed by the National Assembly, has been delivered to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The bill was transmitted to Buhari on Friday, according to Senator Babajide Omoworare, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters.
The transmission, he said, was carried out in accordance with Section 53, subsection 3 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the Acts Authentication Act of 2004.
“Please be informed that the National Assembly has transmitted the Electoral Bill 2021 to Mr. President today Friday November 19, 2021 in accordance with Section 58 (3) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and the Acts Authentication Act Cap. A2 LFN 2004,” the statement reads.
