Lionel Messi, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, has pleaded to return to Barcelona.
Lionel Messi, who left Barcelona for PSG in the summer, said he would love to return if he could contribute and help the Catalan club.
After his contract was allowed to expire, the Argentine captain left Camp Nou as a free agent in the summer transfer window this year.
Speaking ahead of PSG’s Champions League tie with Manchester City on Wednesday, Messi insisted that Barcelona was his home.
“I’ve always said I’d return to Barcelona at some point because it was my home and where I lived,” Messi told El Larguero, according to Mundo Deportivo.
“I’ve always wanted to help the club in any way I can, and, if I can contribute and help the club, I’d love to come back.”
