In the Southeast, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has threatened to go after distributors and users of the hard drug methamphetamine, also known as Mkpuru Mmiri.
The development was described by the group as “very strange” and “completely unacceptable.”
IPOB blamed security agents for the drugs’ prevalence in the North, vowing not to allow the same in the Southeast, according to a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.
While accusing some security agencies of being complicit in the hard drug racketeering, the separatist group urged communities to ensure that those involved in the madness are reported to its office for proper torture.
“We note with utter displeasure, a very ugly and disturbing trend among some youths in Biafra land who have resorted to the consumption of a destructive hard drug methamphetamine commonly known as ” Mkpuru Miri,” according to the statement.
This is a strange and unacceptably bizarre development.
“It is the same hard drug that renders Almajiris useless in the north, and we will not allow this madness to spread among Biafran youths.”
“The IPOB declares war on this nonsense.” We’ll go after those who use or distribute this dangerous illegal substance. Anyone caught peddling, consuming, or otherwise involved in the distribution of this illegal drug will face severe consequences.
“Biafran youths are known for their entrepreneurial spirit, diligence, and enterprising spirit. With Mkpuru Miri, IPOB will not allow evil men and unpatriotic elements to ruin or destroy the future of our youths.
“While we applaud communities that have already taken steps to combat this evil, we seek useful information about those responsible for the distribution of this illegal drug so that we can educate them in their language.”
“We want Biafra to be one of the best countries in the world and a role model for sister African countries,” says the president. This is the mindset we want our youths to adopt, not the NIGERIA mentality, which is infested with evil.”
