IPOB has revealed the identity of the Dora Akunyili Widower Chike Murderers, Ejes Gist reports.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, responded on Wednesday to reports linking its members to the death of Chike Akunyili.
IPOB asserted that Chike’s assassination was purely political, noting that those responsible are contesting the upcoming governorship election in Anambra State.
Chike, who is married to the former Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, was assassinated on Tuesday in Eke Nkpor, Onitsha.
IPOB members were accused of murdering Chike following the incident.
However, Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, stated that those responsible for poisoning Dora are also responsible for Chike’s death.
A statement by Powerful reads partly: “Those who killed Dora Akunyili’s husband killed his wife with poison are Fulani because she exposed Yar’adua’s death for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to take over as President of failed Nigeria. They know themselves, Those that conspired to poisoned prof. Dora Akunyili, they’re contesting the governorship election in Anambra State today.
“We have no beef with Chike Akunyili and do not know him; those responsible for this act must immediately cease from using the IPOB name; we do not want anyone to blame IPOB because we must get them; this is pure political assassination being carried out in Anambra State at the moment, perfected by Nigerian DSS security agents; they are doing this to paint IPOB back in the face of the support and encouragement we are receiving from across the country.
“We are aware of their plans and gimmicks to dissuade Biafrans who are encouraging and supporting us, but they cannot succeed; shortly, those responsible for these atrocities in Imo and Anambra states will hear from IPOB, and our people should not blame us because we must apprehend them.
