Gunmen invade Rachael’s Orphanage Home  

Rachael’s Orphanage House, opposite UBE Junior Secondary School in Naharati, Abaji Area Council, Abuja, has been invaded by gunmen accused of being abductors.

Seven orphans, including a home security guard in the area, were Abducted.

It was gathered that individuals, which comprised two house wives, Rukaiyyat Salihu, Suwaiba Momoh and Momoh Jomih, who reside behind the orphanage home were also abducted by the Kidnappers.

Elizabeth Andrew, Dayo Udeh, Jacob Ukpas, Melody Ijeh, Benard Itim, Issac Mathew and Laruba Emmanuel, as well as the home security guard, Joseph Mathew, were the names of the orphans abducted.

A resident of the area who preferred anonymity, told Daily Trust that the incident occurred around 1:am on Saturday when the gunmen invaded the orphanage home in their large numbers with sophisticated weapons.

They actually came in, heavily armed in large numbers, even though they did not fire as they conducted the operation quietly before proceeding to neighboring homes,” he said.”

The survivor, Mohammed Nurudeen, whose wife, Rukaiyyat Salihu, had been kidnapped by gunmen, said that he was asleep when the gunmen came and opened the door forcefully and whisked his wife away at gunpoint.

“When they came, I was asleep and threatened to shoot me if I refused to open the door for them, which I refused until they had opened the door and entered the room and whisked away my wife,” he said.
