Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Zannah confirmed dead
Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Zannah, the former chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress‘s (NLC) Zamfara State Chapter, died after a long illness.
According to reports, the former State NLC boss was forced to travel to India in 2019 for medical treatment before returning to Nigeria.

Former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari also appointed him to the position of state commissioner for Social Welfare Development.
After defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Zannah was appointed Director-General of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle’s campaign team in 2019.

Governor Matawalle reappointed Zannah as Commissioner of Education, which he declined for reasons best known to him.
He was eyeing the Senate as a way to represent Zamfara Central in the National Assembly before his death.
