Breaking: Former Nigerian Governor is Dead

(rtd), a former Acting Military Administrator of Rivers State, has died at the age of 87.

Mr Kenneth Edemenaha, the late MILAD’s senior son, said in a statement that his father died recently after a brief illness at Orerokpe, the headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area in Delta State.

He stated that his father’s death has brought mourning to the Okpe kingdom, where he served as secretary to the Udogun Okpe and the Okpe Traditional Council of Chiefs.

According to the statement, Late Chief Col Edemenaha (rtd) served as Secretary to Udogun Okpe and the Okpe Traditional Council of Chiefs to both the late Okpe monarch, HRM Orhoro I, and the current monarch, HRM Orhue I, the Orodje of the Okpe Kingdom.

His late father, he said, was a pragmatic and visionary leader who fatefully served the nation and the Okpe Kingdom. “His death is a great loss not only to the Okpe kingdom and Delta state but also to the country as a whole,” he added.
