Christopher Alao-Akala, a former governor of Oyo State, has died.

Christopher Alao-Akala, Former Nigerian Governor is Dead

Alao-Akala, who was born on June 3, 1950, in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, died at the age of 71.

As of the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding his death were unknown.

“The news of his death is out,” Dr Olatunde Abdluazeez, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, told our correspondent.

“The news of his death is out,” he said. He gave it his all for the sake of the state. “Rest in peace, his soul.”

Alao-Akala was a former police officer and Chief Rashidi Ladoja’s Deputy Governor. When Ladoja was impeached, he became governor. He ran for the ADP in the Oyo State governorship election in 2019 before defecting to the APC.
