Former Jigawa Chief Judge Is Dead

Aminu Sabo Ringim, the former Chief Judge of Jigawa State, has died.

Mr. Adamu Shehu, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa Command, confirmed the death of the former Chief Judge.

Aminu Sabo Ringim, the former Chief Judge of Jigawa State, has died.

Ringim was claimed to have killed in a single car accident in Shafar hamlet in the state’s Ringim Local Area.

The death of the former Chief Judge was verified by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Adamu Shehu, in Dutse on Wednesday.

“The tragedy occurred about 1 p.m. today in Shafar village, Ringim LGA, after the deceased, who was driving a Peugeot 206 from Dutse to Ringim, lost control on a hairpin bend along the Chaichai-Ringim road,” Shehu added.

“The former Chief Judge and his son were involved in the incident.”

All of the victims were brought to Ringim General Hospital, where the former Chief Judge was confirmed dead, according to the NSCDC spokesman, who also revealed that the deceased’s son, who experienced varying degrees of injury, is presently receiving medical attention at the hospital.

When contacted, Hajiya Zainab Baba-Santali, a representative for the state’s Ministry of Justice, acknowledged the occurrence and promised to publish a comment soon.
