He was said to be battling kidney disease for the past three years before finally succumbing to the debilitating ailment.

In the early hours of Friday, the former Commissioner passed away.
Barr. Arthur Akpowowo, a current Delta Commissioner, confirmed the tragic incident in a Facebook post.
Kenneth Okpara was the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning in former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s administration.
The incident was also confirmed by a member of the Okpara Campaign Organization.
Okpara was a financial and economic development expert on a global scale.
He was from the Eku community of the Agbon Kingdom in Delta State’s Ethiope East local government area.
