Breaking: Ex-Commissioner Dies at 63 ( Photo)


, the former Jigawa State Commissioner for Environment, has died.

According to a family source, the Commissioner died in a hospital on Friday night at the age of 63 after suffering from an undisclosed illness.

He was survived by his wives, children, and numerous grandchildren.

Meanwhile, Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has consoled the state’s families and citizens.

This was stated in a statement issued to Ejes Gist News by Special Adviser Media and Public Relations to Governor Habibu Nuhu Kila.

The governor was “deeply saddened” by the death of Alhaji Baurau Gambasha, a former member of the state executive council and commissioner of the environment, according to the statement.

His death, he said, was a great loss not only to his family but also to the state.

Alhaji Barau Gambasha, according to Governor Badaru, was a seasoned politician whose contributions to the state’s political development will be remembered forever.

The Governor prayed to Almighty Allah for eternal rest for him and for the family’s strength to bear the loss.
