On Friday, Justice Nyako freed Nnamdi Kanu on the eight counts, ruling on a preliminary objection filed by the IPOB leader, challenging the validity of the federal government’s 15-count amended charge against him.
I have read the counts in this preliminary objection application and have concluded that counts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 do not disclose any offence against the defendant.”
“Counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 15 contain allegations to which the defendant must respond.
“On those counts, the court shall proceed to try the defendant,” Justice Nyako ordered.
Around 11:00 a.m., IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu was brought into the courtroom.
He was brought in again, this time dressed in Fendi.
