Meanwhile, Nigerian Divine Oduduru, who finished third in his semi-final heat 1, will not compete in the men’s 200-meter final in .

Oduduru placed third in a time of 20.16, behind American Erriyon Knighton, 17, who finished first in a time of 20.02, and Jamaican Rasheed Dwyer, who placed second in a time of 20.13.

Oduduru’s hopes of qualifying through the best finishing time were dashed by the results of other heats.

Oduduru led until the final 60 metres, but he dropped out looking exhausted.

He qualified for the semi-finals by finishing second in the first round. In his heat, he was disqualified for a false start during the 100 metres event.

On August 4th, the 200m final will take place.
