Bandits have invaded the University of Abuja, Kidnap Staff 

Ejes Gist News reports that Suspected bandits kidnapped some members of the University of Abuja’s personnel.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, according to sources.

Dzarma Idris, a local, told Daily Trust that sporadic gunshots began at 12:14 a.m. before some staff members were whisked away. Idris was unable to confirm the number of officials kidnapped from the nation’s capital’s university.

The university verified the news but did not specify how many employees were kidnapped.

“Suspected bandits attacked the staff quarters of the University in the early hours of today.

“Our Safety officers, in conjunction with security personnel, mobilised to secure the quarters.

“We have reported that four of our staff and their children were, nevertheless, abducted by the evil men.


“Efforts are being made to ensure their safe return. A sad day for us, indeed,” the statement read. Details later…
