The party also formed a seven-man disciplinary committee led by Saidu Naira to investigate allegations of gross indiscipline levelled against the suspended chairman and his co-travellers during its State Working Committee (SWC) meeting.
The disciplinary committee was formed in response to a viral audio clip in which the chairman of the Yola South chapter was heard saying that it would have been better if President Muhammadu Buhari had died from a coronavirus and that Osinbajo would have been a better replacement.
According to information obtained by this medium, Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, the state’s immediate past governor, attended the meeting on Sunday at the residence of Prince Mustapha Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha in Yola.
Other attendees include Kabiru Mijinyawa, the state house of assembly’s immediate past speaker, and Abubakar Sirimbai, the suspended party chairman and former chairman of the Namtari development area.
