APC Representatives Caucus has endorsed Ahmed Tinubu for President.
On Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the House of Representatives overwhelmingly endorsed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s National Leader, for the presidency in 2023.
When House Leader Alhassan Ado Doguwa put the question to a vote, the members said yes to the former Lagos Governor’s ambition in an overwhelming voice vote.

“This is the time for you to pay back,” Doguwa said, referring to Tinubu’s support for several Nigerians to become Presidents, Governors, Senators, and members of the House of Representatives.
Members of the APC House of Representatives, according to Doguwa, are fully supportive of Tinubu’s candidacy.
Several members of the National Assembly, he claimed, were elected because of Tinubu’s support.
“I want to look you in the eyes and tell you that now is the time to pay back,” he says. Tinubu has backed a number of candidates for President, Governors, Senators, and members of the House of Representatives. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no other chance than now to be supported in achieving his lifelong goal.
“For the sake of Nigeria and our people, we will continue to work with you.” We owe you a huge debt of gratitude. We will assist you in achieving your long-term goals.

“Sometimes people tell us that the President is a former military officer when we interact with them. We are looking forward to President Buhari handing over to someone with a legislative background so that we can also brag about it because you are from this institution.
“Because of your numerous contributions to Nigeria’s development, you are here preaching to the already converted.”
“You’re the only one we know, and we’ll back you up.” You have everything it takes to run for President, and you have everything it takes to be President.”
Doguwa put the issue to a vote to assure the APC Leader of the Caucus’ support.
“Those of you who support this gentleman leading this country in 2023, say Aiyes,” he said.
Aiyes was chanted by the Caucus members in unison.
The earlier scheduled Executive session was postponed due to overwhelming support, as members insisted that the message was clear enough.
