Breaking: Another Popular Yoruba Monarch, Dies

Oba Olufemi Allen Taylor, Olu of Kobape in Ogun State’s Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, has joined his ancestors.

This was contained in a statement issued by the former Ogun State Governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.

According to him, the announcement of the monarch’s death was approved by the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.

“I announce that the Olu of Kobape, Oba Olufemi Taylor, has joined his ancestors,” Aremo Osoba said, citing the authority and approval of Egbaland’s paramount ruler, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.

The former Governor of Ogun State, is putting in place arrangements for the Kobape Kingdom’s administration.

Before ascending to the throne, the late monarch worked as an Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).

The news of his death comes days after the death of Oba Abdul-Azeez Adeoye Adewuyi, Aribiyan II, Gbadewolu 1, the Asigangan of Igangan land.
