The implementation of the new wage comes after President Bola Tinubu signed the Minimum Wage bill into law in July, following extensive negotiations with organized labor.

Despite concerns raised by several state governors about their ability to meet the increased wage due to economic constraints, Governor Fintiri has taken the bold step to ensure that state workers receive the approved salary.
