Mrs , the Head of Editorial, News and Current Affairs Department, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, died, bringing tragedy to media practitioners in Kogi State.

Her death comes just months after the deaths of two Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) employees in Kogi, Abdulazeez Ajinomo and Mr Shola Adewuyi.

Mrs Damian was an ex-official of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in the state before her death.

Meanwhile, prominent journalists in the state have expressed shock at the veteran ’s sudden death.

On Tuesday morning, the executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kogi State Chapter, led by Adeiza Momoh, paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s family.

Mrs Damian, he said, would be greatly missed for her significant contribution to the promotion of journalism in the state.

Comrade Ali Atabor, the NUJ’s immediate past chairman, described the deceased as a complete woman who is honest and has used her position to influence the country’s youth.

Ernest Zhokwo, Damian’s colleague, described her as an outstanding who treats her coworkers with open arms.

He consoled the family, urging them to accept the irreplaceable loss while also emphasising the importance of understanding that death is the end of all mortals.

Mrs Damian worked for the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation when the state was still under the control of Benue.
