3 Police Officers have been Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen in Ebonyi.
Three police officers are said to have been killed in a gunman attack on a Police Divisional headquarters in Unwana, Ebonyi State’s Afikpo North local government area, on Sunday morning.

Around 2 a.m., gunmen attacked the Division, killing one police constable and two inspectors.
The gunmen were wearing masks, according to a local source.
According to the source, one of the gunmen was killed by police who thwarted the attack.
“They killed three police officers – one constable and two inspectors, and one of the gunmen was killed by the police,” he said.
“No one knows who the gunman is, and the remains have been taken away by police.”
“The incident occurred around 2 a.m., nobody knows where they came from, and all we heard for about 10 minutes were gunshots.”
“At this time, no information is available to determine whether they destroyed or stole anything from the police station.”

“The men were disguised, but the police revealed the identity of the one who was killed.” He also wore red cloth around his waist, which he believed was a charm.”
As of the time of this report, Loveth Odah, a police spokesperson, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
