Nigerian Lawmakers  Escape Death .

There members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly narrowly escaped assassination on their way home from a burial ceremony on the Akwanga-Lafia Highway on Wednesday.

Hon Samuel Tsebe (APC- Akwanga South), Hon David Maiyaki (APC- Karu/ Gitata), and Hon Peter Akwanga PDP- Obi 1 were among those who were attacked around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The gun target was discovered to be Hon Tsebe’s vehicle, as Hon Akwe was in his car ahead, followed by Hon Maiyaki, who was also in his car. Hon Tsebe was approaching in his car when the assassins opened fire.

Hon Samuel Tsebe (APC-Akwanga South) thanked God for saving his life and the lives of his colleagues.

“As we approach Wowyen village on the Akwanga/Lafia road, which runs between the Police Mobile Training College, Ende Hills, and the village, we see the bridge.

“I heard gunshots coming from the driver’s side of my car, which I was driving at the time. My car’s windshield was shattered by the bullet. Because the shots were aimed at the driver, and I was the one driving, I suspected that someone was watching my movements and knew I was the one behind the wheel.

“It’s more of an assassination attempt,” says the narrator. I’ve reported the incident to the authorities. Hon Tsebe said, “I thank God my life was saved.”
