First Bank, Honeywell Flour among top losers as Nigeria’s capital market downtrend continues
Shareholders continued to withdraw their funds from the Nigerian stock exchange, which fell 0.03 percent on Thursday.
With the sell pressure continuing, the total value of capital market investments fell from N22.05 trillion on Wednesday to N22.04 trillion today.
This had an effect on the All-Share Index, which fell 13.74 basis points on Thursday, from 42,244.22 to 42,230.48.
In 2,815 transactions today, investors traded 211.08 million shares worth N2.46 billion.
This was down from the previous day’s 2,677 deals, which saw 224.02 million shares worth N2.65 billion change hands.
