The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to claims that emerged from Nnewi, Anambra State, that just a few of its members attacked a Catholic priest in the course of the stay-at-home order held all through South-Eastern Nigeria on Thursday.

The group acknowledged that it stays basically essentially the most peaceful group as there had in no way been any proof of them wielding any gun or any weapon to assault people to not talk about of Christians.
IPOB thanked the Nnewi enterprise group and totally different cities for standing in solidarity with the group on Thursday to point respect to the fallen heroes and heroines of Biafra.
The group’s statement added, “It is crystal clear to most people that as a result of the inception of IPOB, we don’t carry or switch about with machete, AK47 rifle or any sort of weapon.
“We marvel why Nigeria Government and her security companies would offer you such rubbish as an alternative of claiming really what occurred in Nnewi and the way in which they didn’t deceive Biafrans to obey the sit at dwelling order issued by IPOB authority.
“It’s very pathetic that National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) clashed with some Nnewi youth and drug peddlers in Nnewi yesterday and tagged it to a peaceful motion like IPOB.
“Since the formation and commencement of this good motion championing for the liberation of Biafran people, we in no way attacked or killed anybody in Biafraland or in Nigeria state. IPOB does not indulge on such evil acts whatever the extent of assault, killing, humiliation, intimidation, torture in opposition to us.
“We are acutely aware that they will solely use sponsored media assault and misinformation to deceive and confuse most people regarding the worthwhile consequence of this sit at dwelling order held on Thursday 30th of May.
“But pictures and video evidences are there in every social platforms detailing clearly how compliance in every part of Biafraland. Involving IPOB in this present assault in opposition to innocent residents who had been coming back from night vigil in Nnewi, it is unacceptable.
“We normally should not Fulani Herdsmen terrorists and Boko Haram members who assault Christians and church buildings randomly with out Nigeria Army and police stopping them.
“let or not it is acknowledged by most people that the federal authorities headed and dominated by Fulani troopers and politicians are sponsoring Fulani Herdsmen terrorists and Boko Haram members to assault Christians and church buildings in Nnewi and totally different components of Biafraland.
“Given by this affirmation of profitable and whole compliance of this year occasion safety operatives determined out of disgrace and shame to offer IPOB members dangerous title to confused the gullible people that IPOB attacked church and Christians in Nnewi.”
