Bandits bombed a train conveying former senator Shehu Sani
Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, narrowly avoided death when the train he was travelling on collided with an explosive.
As a result of the incident, the Kaduna-Abuja rail track was damaged. “It took a miracle for us to get away,” Sani says.
This was stated by Sani on his verified Twitter account. On Wednesday, he claimed, a similar incident occurred.
Sani wrote; “Yesterday, terrorists attacked the Kaduna Abuja railway with an explosive & opened fire on the train, targeting the Engine Driver & the Tank. This morning, I was on board when our train ran over another explosive damaged rail track. It took a miracle for us to escape,”
This comes as the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) announced that the number of trips on the Abuja-Kaduna route will be reduced (from October 19 to October 21).
