, Opens Up on Purported Resignation

On Monday, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, who serves as the National Chairman of the (PDP), the most prominent opposition party in Nigeria, stated that he has not resigned and has no plans to do so in the near future.

It was alleged by supporters of of Rivers State that Ayu had signed and sent his resignation letter to Senator David Mark of Benue State, a PDP chieftain who had previously served as President of the Senate.

The rumours have been put to rest by Simon Imobo-Tswam, who works as a media aide for Ayu.

Dr. Iyiochia Ayu, the national chairman of the PDP, has not resigned and has no intention of doing so in the near future.

According to the allegations made against Imobo-Tswam, he is purported to have stated, “For clarity and emphasis, he was elected for a tenure of four years.”

In the meantime, PDP governors are gathering in Adamawa State to try to find a solution to the ongoing conflict that has been going on between , the party’s presidential candidate for the election in 2023, and Wike.

Atiku Abubakar, who served as former Vice President of Nigeria, is originally from Adamawa State.
