APC State Congresses Postponed
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to postpone its state congresses across the country until October 16th.
The exercise was initially scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 2.
According to sources close to Mala Buni, the acting national chairman and governor of Yobe State, the development came after consultation with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Remember that between July 31 and September 4, the party held successful ward and local government congresses.

Despite allegations of irregularities, Governor Mala Buni declared the congresses “very successful,” while also threatening to sanction deviant members in some concerned states.
The state congresses will lay the groundwork for the party’s zonal congresses, which will be followed by the much-anticipated national convention, which will elect a new crop of national leaders.
The interim leaders were supposed to run the party for six months to set the stage for a national convention.
