The former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has been announced the winner of the , APC, primary elections.


The Asiwaju of Lagos garnered half of the total votes to beat his major opponents, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.


About 2,322 delegates from across the country had stormed the Eagles Square to elect the flag bearer of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Another delegates from Zamfara state, believed to be from the state of Zamfara, collapsed at the Eagle Square around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

The middle-aged man, who was claimed to have epilepsy, was revived before being transported out of the square in an NSCDC ambulance.

The identity of the guy who fainted immediately after Zamfara delegates were summoned to vote could not be determined.

The chairman of the Election Management Committee, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has said that 3 delegates each from the 774 local government areas of the country will be voting to elect the party’s flag bearer.


Why APC delegates should make me presidential candidate, by Tinubu

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar, has urged APC delegates to elect him as the party’s presidential candidate.

If he is given the party’s presidential nomination, he claims he has what it takes to lead the country to a better future.


Tinubu told delegates at the APC Presidential convention that he has the requisite experience and connections to lead the country forward.

“I have the experience,” he added. I led Lagos out of the abyss and into its current position as Africa’s fifth largest economy. I’ll put my experience to good use, and it will benefit all Nigerians.

On the power rotation, the NWC supports the APC Northern Governors. 

The ruling All Progressives Congress’s (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has backed Northern Governors in the party’s power move to the south.

Following a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, Northern Governors urged on a power shift.

This was despite APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu announcing Senate President Ahmad Lawan as President Muhammadu Buhari’s chosen aspirant.

Adamu made the news at the party’s NWC meeting in Abuja.

The ruling All Progressives Congress will elect a candidate to represent the party in the presidential election of 2023 today.
Despite the fact that over 20 people had previously purchased N100m registration forms, the race has been reduced to just three participants.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Rotimi Amaechi are in a three-horse race.

It was reported that Amaechi and Tinubu appeared to have given up on their ambitions and will resign in favour of Osinbajo today.

Northern APC Govs insist on power shift to South 8:40

The governors of the Northern All Progressives Congress (APC) have pressed on a power shift to the south.

They talked following President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with them.

Simon Lalong, the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, who led others to the meeting, also revealed that Buhari has yet to name a consensus candidate.

Thirteen of the fourteen APC governors from the north who attended the meeting told State House Correspondents that they were adamant about their decision.

Their stance contradicts National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu’s endorsement of Senate President Ahmad Lawan as the party’s consensus candidate.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is in disarray after its national leader, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, announced Senate President Ahmed Lawan as a consensus presidential candidate.

Adamu made the statement at a National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja on Monday.

From the delegates tally released by APC, while Southwest, which has seven aspirants boasts of 411 delegates, South/South has 359 delegates.

There are 894 (336 plus 558) delegates from Northeast and Northwest respectively.

Twenty-three (23) aspirants were screened by the John Odigie-Oyegun-led screening committee. They are expected to jostle for votes.
