APC National Convention Timetable, Sale of Forms Date

The All Progressives Congress has announced that the sale of nomination forms for its national positions will begin on February 14 ahead of the National Convention schedule for February 26, 2022.

Senator John Akpanudoedehe, National Secretary, APC Caretaker, and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, announced this in an Abuja statement on Wednesday.

“The APC CECPC considered and adopted the timetable/schedule of activities for the February 26, at its 19th regular meeting on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the party’s National Secretariat,” he said.

According to him, the following is the schedule of events leading up to the party’s national convention:

“Receiving the National Reconciliation Committee’s interim report, January 31, 2022.”

State Congress Reports will be considered and adopted on February 2, 2022.

“State Executives’ Inauguration – February 3, 2022.”

The APC National Secretariat will sell forms to all aspirants for National Offices on February 14, 2022.

“Completed forms and supporting documents must be submitted to the APC National Secretariat by February 19, 2022.”

“Sub-Committee Publication – February 19, 2022.”

“All aspirants vying for National Offices will be screened from February 20 to February 22.”

“Screening Appeals” will hear and resolve complaints about the screening process on February 23, 2022.

“All statutory and elected delegates to the National Convention will be accredited on February 24 and 25, 2022.”

“February 26, 2022, National Convention to elect National Officers to the National Executive Committee.”

“February 28, 2022: National Convention Appeal to hear and resolve complaints arising from the National Convention.”

The APC scribe had previously dismissed as false reports that the party’s leadership had zoned the national chairmanship position to a specific zone during an interaction with journalists at the party’s National Secretariat.

The report should be ignored, according to Akpankudohede, who added that no decision had been made on the matter.

At the party’s National Convention, new national executives are expected to be elected to manage the party’s affairs, which are currently being managed by Governor Mai Mala Buni’s CECPC.
