AHEAD OF 2019: SENATOR OVIE OMO-AGEGE CONSULTS WITH UGHELLI NORTH, UGHELLI SOUTH AND UDU LGA CHAPTERS OF THE APC

1
The Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Local Government Area Chapters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday, 1st September, 2018, hosted Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Chief Great Ogboru to a very robust welcome to kick-start the consultation of the Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege with the 8 Local Government Areas in Delta Central Senatorial District which the Senator represents.
The event, well-attended by the Excos, members and Leaders of the APC in the Three LGAs, turned into a carnival of some sort, with numerous aspirants for different offices using the opportunity to showcase themselves.
Chaired by the Senatorial Chairman, Barr. (Chief) Adelabu Bodjor, the three events which held at the LGA Headquarters of the Three LGAs (Ughelli, Otu-Jeremi and Otor-Udu) had in attendance the entire Exco of the three LGAs and all their Wards, members and Leaders of the Party in the LGAs visited, as well as an armada of Okada riders and market women who trooped out to welcome their Senator and Governor-in-waiting, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru.
The event took a new twist when Senator Ovie Omo-Agege stepped out to deliver his consultation speech. From Ughelli North to Ughelli South and Udu, the cheers from the people was unprecedented with many asking the Distinguished Senator not to bother to say anything as they had already made up their minds to do everything within their capacity to return him to the Senate in 2019. Notwithstanding, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege presented his speech incredibly, thrilling the mammoth crowd of supporters, Party members and Leaders in Ughelli North with his impeccable oratory and high intellectual content. In Ughelli South, the acceptability and charisma of the Senator were further highlighted by the sea of people that defied the heavy downpour and trooped out of their homes to welcome the Distinguished Senator and Chief Great Ogboru to the Otu-Jeremi Civic Center.
The Distinguished Senator used the opportunity to give the people a thorough report of his representation in the past three years. He also emphasized the need to return Buhari as President in 2019 and the need to have Chief Great Ogboru as Governor of Delta State. Using the massive achievements of the PMB led administration as a yardstick, the Senator stressed the need to put Delta on the same Partisan path with the APC led Federal Government in order to have a synergy that would ensure a clear and defined social, political and economic development for Delta State.
Yesterday’s consultation ended in Udu Local Government Area with an automatic endorsement of the Distinguished Senator by the youths, women, Leaders, Party Exco  and Elders of Udu Local Government Area. The Distinguished Senator also promised that more dividends of democracy would come to Delta Central as more Constituency projects would be put in place for the people to enjoy.
The Elders of the Three LGAs prayed for the Distinguished Senator and also promised to do everything within their capacity to ensure his reelection in 2019.

Hon. Billy Egbe
