AFCON 2023: Super Eagles coach, Peseiro releases squad list for Sierra Leone and Sao Tome games

José Santos Peseiro, the new head coach of the Super Eagles, has named his squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sierra Leone and So Tomé and Principe.

Peseiro dropped six of the eight home-based players who were part of the team to the United States of America for the friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador, according to the list released on Saturday, June 4.

The Super Eagles will face the Sierra Leone Stars at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Thursday, June 9.

After that, the former African champions will travel to Marrakech, Morocco, for a four-day match against the Falcons of Sao Tome and Principe.
