PDP Stalwart Adamu Garba Talba dumps party
Alh. Adamu Garba Talba, a former senator and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Yobe state, has once again left the party and joined the All Progressives Congress, which is the party that is currently in power (APC).
This comes little under two months after Senator Talba switched his affiliation from the APC to the PDP.
According to a statement released on Saturday and signed by Gov. Buni’s Spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, it was stated that Sen. Talba said he shifted to the APC to identify with the tremendous advances that the APC administration has made in the state and to assure continuity in the state’s development.
He made the statement that “there is no hope for Yobe State and Nigeria in any other political party other than the APC.”
“I am here in the APC for the good of Yobe State and for the betterment of Nigeria,” he said. “I am here in the APC.”
Talba’s switch to the APC was hailed as a “homecoming” by Governor Mai Mala Buni, who was present for the event and welcomed the former lawmaker.
To tell you the truth, there is no other organisation that is a better fit for you and the other Yobeans than the APC.
“Every single one of us has a part to play and a contribution to make if we want Yobe State and Nigeria to improve,” Buni remarked.
