Abductors of Ogun church Worshippers reduce ransom to N10m
The abductors of worshippers at Celestial Church of Christ, Oshofa, Wasimi, in Ogun State’s Ewekoro Local Government Area, have reduced their demand from N50 million to N10 million.
The gunmen reportedly entered the church around 11:40 p.m. on Monday, June 13, wearing masks and fez caps.

They kidnapped Oluwaseun Ajose, the parish’s Assistant Shepherd (assistant pastor), and Dagunro Ayobami, a Sunday school teacher.
Prophet Oluwatomisin Olugbebi, the church’s shepherd, said on Thursday, June 16, that the kidnappers had threatened to kill the victims if the money was not paid.
He stated,
“They called me around 10.30 a.m. today (Thursday) and said the ransom is now N10 million and that I needed to pay immediately.”
I informed them that I was still collecting funds.

“They were taken to a riverbank and the gunmen threatened to shoot them if the ransom was not paid on time, according to my assistant, Oluwaseun Ajose, who spoke to me on the phone.
I begged them (the abductors) to let me go because I only had N200,000 and was still looking for the rest.
However, they stated that I must pay the entire sum of N10 million.”
Lanre Bankole, the state Commissioner of Police, stated that the officers under his command are working to ensure the victims’ safety.
