89 Eliminated As Soldiers Fight Bandits In Zamfara

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in cooperation with troops of 35 Squadron as well as Quick Feedback Team of 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have supposedly eliminated no fewer than 89 armed bandits during a special operation along Gidan Jaja in Zurmi Local Government Location of Zamfara State.

EJES GIST NEWS found out that 5 abduct targets were saved by the troops while cache of innovative arms and ammos were recovered.

According to a press released by the Organizer Support Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, 322 rustled cows, 77 bikes as well as 9 mobile phone were recuperated from the outlaws.

The statement reads thus;

” Soldiers of Industry 9 Operation HADARIN DAJI on 24 April 2020 supported by Soldiers of 35 Squadron and also Quick Reaction Team of 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Two helicopter gunships of the Nigerian Air Force, workers of Nigeria Law enforcement agency as well as elements of Nigerien Army, neutralised outlaws, recovered arms as well as ammunition along Gidan Jaja in Zurmi Local Government Location of Zamfara State.

” During the operation, 89 bandits were neutralized and unofficial number ran away with gunshot injuries. Products recovered consist of: 19 AK 47 rifles, 1 PKT gatling gun, 9 magazines, 167 rounds of 7.2 (Special), one dane weapon and one locally made pistol. There was no loss of troops or equipment on our side”.

It added that, “additionally, 322 rustled cows, 77 bikes and 9 mobile phone were recovered. Five kidnapped sufferers making up 3 ladies and 2 males were rescued. The outlaws’ camps were removed by soldiers.

Official handover of kidnapped sufferers and also rustled cows will certainly be performed complying with due process.

” The Chief, Support Team, thus praises the troops for this commendable feat”
