Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the incredible power that resides within their mouths. As a result of their ignorance, they have cursed themselves with their words. Many people say negative things about their families, businesses, and fate that are now working against them. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and those who love it shall eat the fruit thereof,” says Proverbs 18:21.
We must be very careful how we use our tongues as God’s children, especially when things are difficult. The devil manipulates our words to work against us. When we make negative confessions in times of despair, those words will have an immediate impact on us or our families. It is recommended that you spend time in prayer with God whenever you are discouraged, disappointed, distressed, or depressed. When you don’t know what to say, you usually keep your mouth shut.
Here are five (5) things you should no longer say about yourself or your family:
1. You Cannot Make It
God has chosen you to succeed in life. You should not use your mouth to say you won’t be able to make it.
2. Why Other People Are Batter Than Me
Don’t use your words to proclaim that others are superior to you. Always state unequivocally that you will succeed.
3. Why is My Family Very Poor
Your family can only be poor if you declare it to be so. Even if things in your family aren’t going as planned, keep a positive attitude and trust God to make things better. Don’t admit that your family is impoverished.
4. I Feel Like I Want To Die
Keep in mind that our mouths are where life and death meet. The devil will use what you say when you confess that you will die. However, when you declare that you will not die, God will act on your words. In the name of Jesus, you will not die prematurely.
5. Bad Luck Is Always Following Me
Again, the Bible promises that goodness and mercy will follow me throughout my life. When you admit that bad luck is following you, bad luck will undoubtedly follow you because you said it out loud.
Finally, no matter what you’re going through, always look for the bright side and try to think positively about yourself and your family.
