3 Suspects Arrested for Kidnapping and Armed Robbery in Adamawa

Three suspects for suspected abduction and robbery have been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command, and three single barrel weapons have been recovered.

The suspects were responsible for the of Engineer Elan Jobbo, a principal of VTC Jabbi Lamba, Alhaji Jauro Mamburso, and Alkani Zumbe, all of Girei and Song Local Government Area, about May 2020, according to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, who revealed this in a statement on Sunday, March 21, in Yola.

Usman Sale, 40, of Muleng, Song LGA, Lawali Sale, 37, of Bah Usman Village, Fufore LGA, and Yerima Alhaji Dadi, 36, of Bah Usman Village, Fufore LGA, are the suspects.

According to Nguroje, the suspects were apprehended on Saturday, March 20, at their various hideouts in Muleng and Chigari Villages of Song and Fufore Local Government Areas, following reliable information and an extensive search by Song Division Police and Vigilantes.

“So far, investigations have shown that the perpetrators are involved in armed robbery and kidnapping operations on both sides of the Nigeria-Cameroon border.


“While praising Dpo Song and his men for making it impossible for the criminals to flee, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, also guides further inquiries into the case in order to gather further Human and Material evidence for proper prosecution.

According to Nguroje, as part of efforts to tackle illegal activities and other related crimes, the CP, working together to deepen intelligence and improve security in the State, deployed the Rapid Response Team (RRS) and the Command’s Anti Kidnapping unit to track down kidnappers in their hideouts across the state.
