3 Shot Dead As Security Agencies Smash Car-Snatching Gang In Imo


A security team comprised of and Army personnel smashed a car-snatching gang in Imo yesterday, killing three members.

The , who were drawn from the 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, and the ’s 211 Quick Response Group, were said to have responded to a distress call from residents of the state’s Ngor Okpala Local Area.

The car snatchers were apprehended by security operatives in the Ngor Okpala community of Umuonyenwere Umuowa, where they were engaged in a shootout.

During the gunfight, three of the criminals were killed, and stolen vehicles were discovered.

General Raymond Utsaha, Commander Brigadier, 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, and Group Commander I. Ayo, Group Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, addressed some of the community’s residents and praised them for providing timely information.
